What is an A-line dress and why do I want one?
A-line is the holy grail for every body shape. A-line skirts or dresses are fitted at your natural waist and gradually widen towards the hem to create a triangular shape that fans out slightly. This flattering shape pulls double duty: it draws the eyes to the waist for pear(larger on bottom) and heart shapes(larger on top), which de-emphasizes the hips and it also adds the appearance of curves for those with boyish or boxy body-types.

At Fashion Freak LLC, we will typically measure items using Flat Lay measurements. What this means is that we measure the garment while it is laying on a flat surface and it is un-stretched. If the measurements are noted as Flat Lay, double the measurement to compare to where it would fit on the chart below.
The chest (bust) measurement will be given from underarm to underarm and will be noted as "Flat Lay measurement"
The length measurement will be given from the top shoulder to the bottom hem line. Items that have a HiLo hem line may have both measurements.
The waist on jeans will be measured inside the waist and will be noted as "Flat Lay measurement"
Below is a standard guideline for common sizes in relationship to measurements. Some items we carry will have separate measurements within the product description. They will have their own sizing chart that should be used as a guide instead of the below chart.
Bust: Measure the fullest part of your bust, making sure the measuring tape fits comfortably and flat.
Waist: Measure the narrowest part of your waist, with the measuring tape laying flat is comfortable. Not too tight or too loose so that you get an accurate measurement.
Hips: Measure below your waist above your thighs. Make sure the tape is flat and comfortable without being too loose or too tight.
